From the Foreword
This report provides information about federal and state government agencies that have a requirement for any of the technologies used to map the Earth -- GIS, GPS, photogrammetry, remote sensing, surveying, web mapping services, cartography and so on -- whether hardware or software or data or services. We also provide information about the process of becoming a vendor to government agencies, including links to helpful web sites.
In addition to the text of the report, we include contact information for people in federal and state agencies that have mapping responsibilities. Up-to-date contact names researched on the web or verified by telephone include telephone and fax number, email addresses, web sites, and mailing addresses, as available. We envision that this information will help you build the relationships necessary to understand the agencies' needs for the products and services your company offers. We are providing the contact information in an electronic file so that you can import the data into your contact management software and mail merge program.
